It is credible but unconfirmed by us: nothing here is counted as an official alert, a field verification, or evidence behind a funding decision until a government source or Compass Rose on the ground confirms it.

Reporting from a disaster is noisy. Our job is to tell you how much confidence each claim deserves.
People on the ground
Compass Rose staff live and work in Nepal. Field-verified items are confirmed by someone physically present.
Sources you can open
Every update carries a source ledger: who said it, when, and a link where one exists.
Confidence is labelled
We never present a single unconfirmed report as fact. Each item states how strongly it is supported.
Corrections stay visible
When a material claim changes, the correction is published alongside the original — never quietly edited away.

Funding figures follow the same discipline: nothing is shown as deployed or verified until there is a receipt, a photograph, or an on-chain transaction behind it.
Where this intelligence comes from
We show the state of every source honestly. A source that is not connected is labelled as such rather than quietly filled with plausible-looking data. Nepal government sources outrank everything else; discovery feeds never publish on their own.
